Southwest Construction Services

“Diners will have the unique opportunity to engage closely with the chef, creating a memorable and interactive dining experience,” explained Tim McCarthy, a project architect from Hart Howerton in New York.
“With the opening of our new location in Sebring, Florida, MEVA is open for business,” announced Scott Fisk, President of MEVA North America. Jay Miller, MEVA Sales Representative on the project, demonstrated how MEVA’s products and services are perfectly suited for concrete construction in Florida’s demanding environment. The project will also benefit from additional support provided by MEVA’s new rental yard and refurbishment facility in Sebring, FL.
To further solidify its presence in Florida, MEVA is deploying Mauricio Ochoa, a graduate of the MEVA Sales Academy, to the Northern Florida territory. This strategic expansion, combined with the recent appointment of Matt Woodlief as Regional Sales Manager for the Southeastern Territory, positions MEVA to fully support and service its Florida customers.
On-site, Jorge Aldana, the project’s foreman, praised the versatility and ease of use of the MevaLite system. After successfully pouring the straight walls and columns, the team repurposed the panels and inside corners to form upturned beams and “L”-shaped beams using a tie-less solution.
This approach saved us hours of labor and eliminated the need for unnecessary concrete patching.

The project also utilized MEVA’s MAR radius system for the structure’s curved walls, which stood 12 feet 6 inches tall and spanned 200 linear feet. The pre-assembled radius forms enabled smooth crane picks directly from the truck bed into place, optimizing both time and space on-site.
MEVA is thrilled to support this project and looks forward to many more concrete projects in Florida.
