A Landmark High-Rise Takes Shape

MEVA as a One-Stop Shop in Downtown Nashville

In the heart of downtown Nashville on McGavock Street, construction is underway on a remarkable high-rise apartment complex that promises to redefine urban living in the city. Rising 30 stories, this nearly 400,000-sq.ft. residential tower will offer luxury living spaces with retail options below and a seven-level structured parking facility. Notably, three and a half levels of this parking structure will be below grade, adding complexity to the build for Lithko Contracting.

Lithko Contracting, founded in 1994, has grown from a small regional contractor into one of the largest concrete contractors in the United States. Known for its focus on quality, safety, and collaboration, Lithko has established a strong reputation in the construction industry. For over 14 years, Lithko Contracting has relied on MEVA‘s products and services to support the growing housing demand in Nashville, and their expertise is once again evident in this project.

To meet the demands of this ambitious project, MGC-F climbing solutions are being deployed for the construction of the stairwells and elevator cores. MEVA‘s advanced shoring systems – including MEVA32 frame shoring, MEP, MEVA HN, and MEVA32 tables – are integral to the construction of each level. For specific wall pours, the versatile MevaLite system is in use, while Imperial with STB systems is being utilized for the one-sided basement walls. MEVA‘s comprehensive range of products has proven to be the perfect solution for the diverse formwork and shoring needs of this complex structure.

The project, known as Modera McGavock, is designed to be a standout addition to Nashville‘s skyline. “We‘re confident that Modera McGavock will elevate the standard for downtown living in Nashville,” said Luca Barber, Managing Director of Development in Nashville for Mill Creek Residential. The development will offer a range of spacious studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes, with an average unit size of 970 sq.ft.
Residents will enjoy a suite of premium amenities designed for modern urban living, including a rooftop sky lounge with panoramic views, a swimming pool, a grilling area with outdoor dining, and a fire pit. The complex will also feature a clubhouse, a game room, landscaped courtyards, a conference room, and co-working spaces. A state-of-the-art 24-hour fitness center will offer a TRX system, cardio equipment, a yoga studio, and group fitness areas, while a rooftop dog park, coffee bar, and controlled-access guest technology further enhance the living experience. The development also includes private parking with EV charging stations, package lockers, bike storage, and additional storage options. Given its urban context, surrounded by towers of similar or greater heights, Modera McGavock is perfectly scaled to fit into Nashville‘s rapidly densifying skyline.
