Alabama’s Linden Bypass project, a crucial part of the West Alabama Corridor under the Rebuild Alabama Act, promises to reshape the region’s infrastructure. The $758 million initiative, announced by Governor Kay Ivey in 2021, marks a historic step toward enhancing U.S. Highway 43 from Tuscaloosa to Mobile.

The Linden Bypass will add two lanes to U.S. Highway 43 south of Linden, extending north through the town and bypassing on its east side. As a vital component of the West Alabama Corridor, this project brings together rural counties, providing essential connectivity in the state.

Alabama Bridge Builders, Inc., a general contractor with 35+ years of bridge building experience, utilized MEVA products. The contractor selected MevaLite as their formwork of choice to build four bridge pier caps. The formwork’s lightweight and modular design were key to reducing the labor and material cost for the completion of the highway expansion.

MEVA would like to thank Alabama Bridge Builders, Inc. for choosing MevaLite as the preferred product for building the pier caps.
