Saving labor, time, and equipment

As the requirements on construction sites vary, construction companies need flexible formwork and support systems. Ideal solutions convince through a high level of efficiency, simple handling, durability, and combinability. These characteristics are decisive for a high level of cost-effectiveness, rapid construction progress, and sustainability – all guaranteed when using the cost-efficient and flexible MEVA32 shoring system.

MEVA32 shoring system – designed for high loads and to suit different applications

MEVA32 is a complete solution for shoring, slabs, and garage beam applications in concrete construction. Compatible with the MEP shoring system, it can be used as a traditional shoring tower using cross braces or be assembled horizontally on the ground using MEP gates and then flown into position by crane. A saddle beam to mount on top of the frame provides an efficient solution for parking garages.

Fewer frames required

MEVA32 is a versatile yet simple system. The lightweight aluminum frame has a total load capacity of 32 kips (142kN) and 16 kips per leg. The high load means fewer frames are required.

A sample calculation, comparison with a conventional 20 kip per frame system: Under a 12” thick slab, each of the frames’ legs (10 kips per leg) covers approximately 38 sq. ft. of deck area. Under the same slab, each MEVA32 leg supports approx. 61 sq. ft. of deck area. This reduces the number of legs required to support the deck area by 38%, and increases load efficiency by an incredible 60%. As a result, freight, labor, and time costs on the job are reduced.

Frames are connected together horizontally using cross braces, or MEP gates, allowing versatile applications for conventional shoring, table shoring, garage beam shoring, as well as tall towers erected on their side and lifted into place.

Easy handling

The MEVA32 frames are 6 ft. in width and come in heights of 4, 5, 6, and 8 ft. to accommodate varying elevation requirements. The system features adjustable screw jacks to ensure accurate height requirements. The typical 6’ x 6’ frame only weighs 49 lbs, allowing the frames to be handled easily by one worker. All unnecessary parts have been eliminated, so the system can be built from just a few basic components and frame types – saving labor, time, equipment, and space on the jobsite.

Another plus is its compatibility with all MEVA slab formwork systems and the MEP shoring tower. The conversion from shoring tower to flying table is quiet easy by replacing the cross braces with MEP gates. The MEVA32 frame also can be used as a “garage beam system”: Saddle beams with a folding head complete the system for easy placement and movement as a unit. At the completion of a section of a concrete pour, towers can be put on standard MEP trucks and rolled to the next section by just one or two workers without being dismantled. The folding head for garage beam applications makes it easy to go to the next pour without disassembly and reassembly.

Simple & smart

  • Built in-place or flown
  • Easy conversion from shoring tower to garage beam system or flying table
  • Heads can accommodate a single or double row of aluminum stringers
  • Frame folds for easy movement without disassembly
  • Towers can be built vertically or horizontally by using MEP gates and rolled from pour to pour using standard MEP truck
  • Screw jacks allow for fine-tuned height adjustment on the jobsite
  • Each frame offers tie-off points for workers when erecting the shoring
