Looking at the big picture

We are convinced that economic growth is possible in harmony with social and ecological thinking. As an independent, second-generation family-run, medium-sized company with over 50 years of history, we “live” continuity and act prudently. We develop products that conserve resources due to their long life cycle and clever ideas.

MEVA supports social causes, culture, sport, sustainability and everything that makes life worth living. Because nothing is as important as good, understanding cooperation. This also applies to our values. We demand and promote equality and respect – without pigeonholing personal, religious, ideological, ethnic or sexual identity. We respect the rights of minorities as well as human rights along our supply chains and social and ecological factors in procurement.

Connect the…

MEVA bundles its commitment to people, nature and sustainability under the names “Connect the future”, “Connect the nature” and “Connect the people”. For example, MEVA relies on forward-looking technologies such as photovoltaic systems, which cover around 70% of its own electricity requirements at its headquarters in Haiterbach with the help of renewable energy. A charging station for electric cars is also powered by solar cells. MEVA has established its own bee colonies, bird nesting sites and insect hotels. Employees in Haiterbach can enjoy their breaks in their own little nature reserve.

Charitable commitment

MEVA is socially and civically committed in many countries. In Germany, for example, as a sponsor of ASM Nagold, a self-help organisation for disabled and non-disabled people. We support the Europe-wide promoted pilot project Multigenerational House, and a local sports and youth organisation. Together with the Rotary Club Stuttgart-International, MEVA supports the “End Polio Now” project. Our corporate events are catered by local non-profit organisations. Where possible, we prefer to commission local workshops for the disabled with tasks. “Jugend forscht” (youth in research), the school and youth competition in the field of science and technology, is also supported by us.

A special MEVA project is AZUBIaktiv: Our trainees are traditionally involved in charitable work. On their own initiative, for example, they start collection campaigns for donations in kind and money for the benefit of organisations that work internationally for refugees and orphans. Together with the German Red Cross, blood donation campaigns are organised at MEVA and environmental protection measures are initiated as part of the Baden-Württemberg pilot project KLIMAfit.

Connect the Future

Sustainability means the future and is a special commitment for us. A large part of the energy for our production and e-charging stations is generated regeneratively by photovoltaic systems on our factory roofs.

Connect the People

Connect the People includes projects for the common good of the people at and around MEVA. For example, our recreational facilities in the “Wäldle” and our long-standing commitment to social associations create a living togetherness.

Connect the Experience

Our systems are based on the experience gained from countless projects with our customers. With Connect the Experience, we pass this know-how on to partners and employees.

Connect the Nature

Connect the Nature stands for MEVA’s connection with the environment. One of the ways we contribute to this is by establishing bee colonies on our premises.

Encouraging employees

As an employer, we focus on the people at MEVA. They make up our company and are, not least, our greatest entrepreneurial capital. That is why we cultivate a personal atmosphere that promotes trust across national borders.

Professional competence, reliability, honesty and respectful treatment of people and nature form a stable foundation for the responsible actions of our employees and thus for the long-term development of MEVA. We encourage each individual to contribute their own skills and interests to MEVA and beyond. In important and critical phases of life, we provide unbureaucratic and individual support. Where possible, mobile working and adapted working time models give employees more flexibility, a better work-life balance and cost and time savings.

As a training company in commercial and technical professions and as a university partner, MEVA intensively promotes training and studies. We intensively accompany the path of our trainees and students – towards becoming self-responsible, competent employees with individual and personal strengths. Because this is the best way to pass on social responsibility to the next generation.

Education and research

Social responsibility also includes knowledge and technology transfer by supporting educational and research institutions. As partners in the areas of education and teaching, we cooperate with the Steinbeis Transfer Centre for Technology, with universities in Berlin, Chemnitz, Darmstadt, Dortmund, Cologne and Munich, with the Biberach University of Applied Sciences and with chambers of trade and guilds.
