The MEVA Family works tirelessly across the globe to provide more sustainable, safer and more efficient formwork solutions, with a focus on solving problems for our customers.
From its humble beginnings in Germany’s picturesque Black Forest region, MEVA has grown to serve the construction industry from over 40 locations across the globe, as one of the world’s leading suppliers of cutting-edge formwork systems.
In 1970, only a year after start-up, MEVA unveiled the first modular panelised formwork system for crane-independent use, which was to revolutionise the construction industry.
This was the first chapter in a 50+ year success story. Through ongoing research and development, the adoption of state-of-art design techniques, and embracing digitalisation, MEVA products continue to dominate the global formwork market today.

Our people are our greatest asset. Their knowledge, expertise and focus on serving our clients to the highest level is what has made MEVA the company it is today.
We have seen substantial growth in recent years, with regional offices and local representatives serving MEVA across the globe.
With our annual sales exceeding €130 million, we continue to re-invest in research and development to deliver innovation in product design.
We are truly humbled by the number of clients that put their trust in us every day to deliver formwork solutions to their specific needs.
Formwork. Simple. Smart.
As well as pioneering product development and technically advanced solutions, MEVA has built a reputation for quality, high safety standards and high levels of service.
Our purpose? To deliver innovative, but safer, more cost-effective and highly efficient formwork solutions, which are designed to make our customers’ jobs easier. Simple. Smart.
A sustainable future view.
The fact that sustainability is deeply rooted in our way of thinking is demonstrated by our use of alkus solid plastic sheets for more than 20 years – at a time when sustainability had not yet found its way into everyday language.
MEVA’s own bee colonies are part of our “connect-the” philosophy and demonstrate our connection with nature, which as a unique habitat deserves the highest level of protection. The consistent refurbishment of our buildings in accordance with the strictest environmental and energy requirements is another important step towards sustainability. For example, the roofs of our factory buildings are consistently equipped with PV systems that feed surplus energy back into the power grid.
More than just formwork.
At MEVA, we don’t just talk about values and social responsibility: we put our words into action. Our product development focuses on sustainability, and durability and we pride ourselves on the longevity of our products.
We are invested in bettering the world and the lives of those around us. That is why we provide long-term and sustainable support to institutions, organisations and associations that make a valuable contribution to society.
Together we are stronger.
We remain an independent, family run business and our values of honesty, respect, reliability and inclusivity, extend to the wider MEVA Family.
The MEVA family.
Through training and ongoing development, we help to nurture each and every individual to reach their true potential.
By working collaboratively, regardless of location, MEVA can tap into a wealth of expert knowledge and technical experience to partner with our clients to deliver the most successful global projects.
It is the combination of customer belief, investment in product and our dedication to developing our people that makes MEVA the company it is today.
Foundation of the MEVA company
MEVA Schalungs-Systeme GmbH was founded on 6 February 1970. The name is an acronym for the German word for metal processing (“Metallverarbeitung”).
MEVA’s German office opens
Headquarters in Haiterbach, founded in 1970.
Panel formwork system launches
The MEVA panel formwork system was exhibited at bauma 1971. It was the first modular panel formwork that could be used without a crane.
Assembly lock and closed hollow profile
Inventions by MEVA that became the worldwide standard. The closed hollow profile with seam is stable and robust. The assembly lock with no losable parts aligns and joins the elements with just a few hammer blows to achieve a strong and stepless panel connection.
The aluminium formwork was MEVA’s first hand-set formwork; it could be used universally as wall and slab formwork at the same time. Thanks to fewer standard parts, the system simplified the processes on the construction site and led to shorter times for assembly and stripping.
Mammut makes large-scale pours possible
Mammut was the first large-scale industrial formwork with a permissible fresh concrete pressure of 97 kN/m². It was the first system ever to make large-scale pours possible, saving time and money. The formwork was continuously developed.
MEVA founded its formwork centre in Hannover in 1987.
Head office in Gouda, founded in 1990 (MEVA BeNeLux since 2016).
Plant II, Germany
MEVA recognises the market trend towards renting and builds its own plant in Haiterbach for this purpose! The plant comprises:
Plant I: Production, Plant II: Cleaning and Refurbishment, Plant III: Custom-build formwork and Plant IV: Storage Place of used formwork.

alkus all-plastic facing panels
The first 100% wood-free facing, alkus all-plastic facing, achieves consistently high-quality concrete results. It does not swell or shrink, neither does it absorb moisture and it does not stain – a quantum leap in formwork technology.
Head office in Springfield, founded in 2000.
Head office Sarregeuemines, founded in 2003
Mammut 350 launches
In 2003, the new Mammut 350 achieved a permissible fresh concrete pressure of 100 kN/m² – over the full surface area and across the entire system.
MEVA presents the first foldable, completely pre-assembled security system StarTec-Securit. This safe equipment can be used immediately from the stack and is at least as quick to assemble as conventional consoles.
Head office in Tamworth, founded in 2006.

The Burj Khalifa

MEVA’s MAC climbing system was a huge plus on the Roche 2 Tower! The pace of the construction work can be kept very high. We generally had far fewer crane hours available on this project than usual. With the MAC, we achieved extreme time savings.
We were impressed by MT 60’s assembly speed. It enabled us to save time – without making any compromises on safety.
Even when on display at the MEVA Technikum centre, the rotating combination tie hole in the StarTec XT exerted a certain fascination. Then, on site, the easy handling was truly impressive. Time to switch! It’s as simple as that.
